Community Navigator

 The Conscious Connect

My role as a Navigator

As a Springfield native and resident, I have spent my time serving the Black Businesses and Communities.

I chose to be a Community Navigator because the objectives of this program are closely related to the work I do with The Young Black Professionals and Businesses of Springfield (YBPBS). I believe in doing my part to make the community a better place.

A large part of that is economic empowerment is my motivation. I am qualified to do this work because I am a trusted leader who is invested in Springfield.

Outside of Co-Directing YBPBS since 2019, being a member of the Black Community has best helped prepare me to serve in this capacity. I have both experienced and continue to educate myself on the socioeconomic impact systemic racism has had on Black America. Additionally, I am involved with a variety of organizations that provide me with opportunities to live out my commitment to community service and civic engagement. Notably, Gammon House Inc., Planned Parenthood Southwest Ohio, The Unified Collective, and Clark County Democratic Party to name a few.

When I am not helping clients, I enjoy spending time with my family going to concerts, trying new restaurants and traveling.
